The NSF Summer Institute on Nanomechanics, Nanomaterials, and Micro/Nanomanufacturing, is pleased to announce a new short course entitled “Materiomics: Merging Biology and Engineering in Multiscale Structures and Materials,” offered from May 30 to June 1, 2012 in LeMeridien Cambridge-MIT Hotel, Cambridge, MA. This course will provide an introduction into the emerging science at the interface of engineering and biology, with a focus on the integration of multiscale modeling and experiment.
Thanks to the support of NSF, there are a limited number of NSF fellowships available to faculty members, high-school science teachers, post-docs and PhD candidates from the US. The fellowship consists of full registration fee plus an accommodation allowance. Please check the enclosed announcement for further details.
