The U.S. Department of Transportation is now accepting applications for the 2013 Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship, which supports master's and doctoral students in transportation-related fields. U.S. citizens and international students are eligible.
Three levels of support will be offered:
•First-tier recipients receive full fellowships, which provide three years of support and include an annual stipend ($20,400 for master's students, $24,000 for doctoral students) and up to $10,000 in tuition assistance.
•Second-tier recipients receive a $11,500 award for one year.
•Third-tier recipients receive a $5,000 award for one year.
Fellowships may be supplemented by departmental support.
Up to 200 fellowships will be awarded this year, and several students from the University of Illinois have won in recent years. The application deadline is April 1, 2013.
