ENGINEERING INTERN
The City of Clayton is accepting applications for the position of Engineering Intern in the Public Works Department. The City will hire two engineering interns for this summer. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Public Works, duties include construction and permit inspections for bridge, sidewalk, and streetscape projects; field surveys of City sidewalk and other infrastructure to determine necessary repairs; GPS/GIS surveys of street signs; tracking and documentation of construction project quantities and other duties as assigned. Salary range: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required. A valid Driver’s License is required. Preferred qualifications include civil engineering students who have completed their sophomore year in college; prior material testing and field inspection experience; knowledge of AutoCad, GIS and GPS systems.
